HISTORY
In July 2022, a farmer Ravi Ranjan Pratap & Er. Nitee Ranjan Pratap with the help of some farmers started a dairy of 700 liter per day capacity and 09 Indian breed Sahiwal cow rearing in Bishunpur village for the benefit of farmers and to increase the income of farmers. Bishunpur is located in Wazirganj block district Gaya, which is about 7 km south of Wazirganj block headquarters in the mountains. This area is very backward in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry. Due to the poor condition of the farmers, farmers used to go elsewhere in search of employment. In this area, a training and awareness campaign was conducted among the farmers for Indian breed cow rearing, the result of which was fruitful and till July 2023, a total of 163 farmers started cow rearing, which increased the production of milk in the area. About 600 liters of milk was collected from the farmers daily in the dairy and milk and its products such as cheese, khoya, ghee etc. were made available in the market, due to which an increase of 6000 to 7000 rupees per month was recorded in the income of the farmers. The migration of farmers has also reduced.
Thereafter, a meeting of farmers was organized under the chairmanship of Ravi Ranjan Pratap, in which it was decided to form a farmer producer organization for the benefit of the farmers and to increase the income of the farmers. After the decisions, NASP Farmer Producer Company Limited was established on 24 November 2023.
